The main Invoke User Interface ("UI") is made up of 3 main areas, regardless of the creation method being used.
From left to right, these are:
- Settings / Invoke panel
- Working Area
- Layers & Gallery Panel
Settings / Invoke Panel
The Settings Panel is where all generation settings are controlled from, along with any Control Adapters, LoRAs, and Compositing settings. This panel is composed of sections that pertain to certain aspects of image generation. The exact sections and settings available for each generation method may vary slightly.
The toggle next to the Invoke button that lets you choose whether you want to “Send to Gallery” or “Send to Canvas”. Sending to the Gallery will generate and save the image directly to your gallery, while sending to canvas will stage the changes in your canvas.
You can then use positive / negative prompt boxes and prompt templates to guide the contents of your generation. You can read more about using prompts to guide your generations here.
The Settings Panel in the Workflow editor can control generation settings, if fields have been added to the Linear View. This panel also allows for modifying workflow settings and metadata under the "JSON" tab of the Settings Panel.
Working Area
The Working Area is where generated images or workflows will be displayed, along with the main space to interact with the Control Canvas.
While an image is generating, you can view progress images by clicking ‘Open Viewer’ at the top right corner of the Working Area. When the generation is complete, the image will appear in the images tab of the board you are working in. You can click ‘Close Viewer’ at the top right corner of the Working Area. From there, you can drag an image back to the Working Area and continue working on it.
You can learn more about using the Control Canvas to control and edit generations here.
Layers & Gallery Panel
Layers tab
The Layers tab displays all of the active layers used to modify the image in the Working Area. New layers can be added by clicking the ‘+’ icon at the top right corner of the Layers tab. You can create multiple layers, manipulate and transform them, and compose the full set of generational controls before generating your image.
Individual layers can be bookmarked, locked, disabled, or deleted using the icons at the top right corner of each layer dropdown.
Learn more about each type of layer here.
Gallery tab
The Gallery tab contains project boards, and the images in those boards. From the Gallery, you can use the images you have created by dragging them for use in Image to Image or the Control Canvas. Images can also be shared, downloaded and deleted from the Gallery.
You can read more about managing boards in your Gallery here and more about collaboration features here.
