The main Invoke User Interface ("UI") is made up of 3 main areas, regardless of the tab being used.
From left to right, these are:
- Settings / Invoke Panel
- Working / Viewing Area
- Boards, Gallery, and Layers Panel
These 3 main panels can be found on Generate, Canvas, Upscaling, and Workflow tabs. Each tab will start on a Launchpad to streamline access to basic use cases and have an Image Viewer mini-tab, but you can navigate to traditional Canvas and Workflow Editor views easily using the mini-tabs at the top left-hand corner of the Working / Viewing Area. You can read more about starting with the Launchpad tab here.
You can leave the Launchpad by selecting another mini-tab or it will happen automatically when you start generating an image.
Settings / Invoke Panel
The Settings Panel is where all generation settings are controlled from, along with any Global Reference Images, LoRAs, and Compositing settings. This panel is composed of sections that pertain to certain aspects of image generation. The exact sections and settings available for each generation method and model type may vary slightly.
You can then use positive / negative prompt boxes, prompt templates, and prompt expansion to guide the contents of your generation. You can read more about using prompts to guide your generations here.
The Denoising Strength slider is located at the top of the Layers tab on the right-hand side of the Canvas tab. Setting denoising strength to 0 means no noise is introduced to the input image, while denoising strength of 1 means the input image is entirely replaced by noise.
The Settings Panel in the Workflow editor can control generation settings, if fields have been added to the Linear View. This panel also allows for modifying workflow settings and metadata under the "JSON" tab of the Settings Panel.
Working / Viewing Area
The Working Area is where generated images and workflows will be displayed, along with the main space to interact with the Canvas.
The tabs at the top of the Working / Viewing area allow you to switch from the Launchpad to Image Viewer or Canvas views.
While an image is generating, you can view progress images by clicking the ‘Image Viewer’ tab at the top left corner of the Working / Viewing Area. In the Generate tab, when the generation is complete, the image will appear in the images tab of the board you are working in.
While on the Canvas tab, you can view in progress generations at the bottom of the Working / Viewing Area and switch between generations before accepting the generation you would like to accept as a Raster Layer.
You can learn more about using the Canvas to control and edit generations here.
Boards, Gallery, and Layers Panel
Layers tab
The Layers section of the right-hand panel displays all of the active layers used to modify the image in the Working Area. New layers can be added by clicking the ‘+’ icon at the top right corner of the Layers tab. You can create multiple layers, manipulate and transform them, and compose the full set of generational controls before generating your image.
Individual layers can be bookmarked, locked, disabled, or deleted using the icons at the top right corner of each layer dropdown.
Learn more about each type of layer here.
Boards / Gallery
The top section of the right-hand tab contains project boards, and the images in those boards. From the Gallery, you can use the images you have created by dragging them for use in Image to Image or the Control Canvas. Images can also be shared, downloaded and deleted from the Gallery.
You can read more about managing boards in your Gallery here and more about collaboration features here.
