Control Canvas

The Canvas tab is separated from the Generation tab to simplify access to your favorite control features. Below is a highlight of the key features and techniques that bring this experience to life.

Accessing the Control Canvas view

To access the Canvas tab, click the Canvas icon from the menu at the left-hand side of the application.

Working on the Control Canvas

When you start working on a blank Canvas, your first image generation will be added as a Raster Layer. You can start from the Launchpad view by selecting your model and adding simple guidance for the image generation. If you are already familiar with working on the Canvas, you can start adding layers in the Canvas view.

You can also select an image to edit on the Canvas by right clicking on an image in the Gallery or 'Image Viewer' and selecting ‘New Canvas from Image’ on the menu.

Saving a Canvas

Remember to save your progress. You can save the entire Canvas to your gallery using the save button on the menu at the top right corner of the Canvas, or if you need just a portion, adjust your bounding box (you can move it selecting any area inside the box). This option can also be accessed by right-clicking on the Canvas to save the asset and layers to your Gallery.

Canvas Tools

Regional Guidance, Regional Reference Image, and Inpaint Mask layers are applied using a mask, drawn onto the Canvas, representing the region in which the layer's guidance will be applied.

Begin by clicking on the Regional Guidance layer you want to edit, then select a tool to edit the mask for the region.

  • Brush: Add to the region's mask by drawing with a brush.
  • Eraser: Erase parts of the region's mask with an eraser.
  • Rectangle: Drag to add a rectangular to the region's mask. Like brush strokes, rectangles can be erased with the eraser.
  • Move: Reposition the region's mask.
  • Undo/Redo: Undo or redo the last action.

Regional Guidance, Regional Reference Image, and Inpaint Mask layers have a mask preview color, but this does not affect generation - it's there to help you differentiate between regions.
